The results of student, parent, and staff surveys were extremely close for the two options receiving the most votes -- options 1 and 2.
These results support implementing a combination of options 1 and 2. Those options' provisions are outlined below:
Option 1:Ypsilanti Public Schools Dress Code...................................Option 2: Any type of appropriate pants or skirts. ....................strictly enforcedwith professional dress on presentation days............Any type of plain shirt with no logos, graphics or text. Ypsi School District Dress Code
We will develop more detailed language regarding logos, graphics, and text and will seek input from students and parents.
Students will discuss the language on Monday, August 30th.
Parent meeting to be held Wednesday, September 1st at YHS at 6 pm to discuss detailed dress code language.
In the interim, a discussion thread is being created here regarding the dress code.
Please consider reviewing the results and providing comments and ideas that will help form the structure of the September 1st meeting. Thanks!
